Scalp-conscious hair colouring
For people who value ingredient safety, scalp sensitivity, grey coverage and regular colouring. Lavender Hair focuses on natural, lasting colours rather than bleaching or dramatic fashion shades.
Reactions to hair colour depend on the formula, contact time, scalp condition that day and individual sensitivity. We first discuss past reactions and grey distribution, then plan natural-looking colour, grey coverage and after-colour hair care.

Claims about silicones, PPD, MPD, heavy metals and other substances should be checked against the specific product, batch, test scope, detection limits, results and date. The complete formula and correct use matter too.
We aim to reduce discomfort through a pre-colour consultation, testing according to instructions, barrier protection, sectioned application, contact-time management and after-colour cleansing. Any hair dye can still cause an individual reaction.
Some clients receiving scalp or hair-density care also want grey coverage and a natural, tidy look. That is why we introduced Natural Shine Conditioning Colour: to consider scalp comfort, colour and hair manageability in one plan.
Following product instructions, we apply a protective scalp serum before colouring, alongside sectioned application and contact-time management, to reduce direct dye contact with skin. A protective layer cannot guarantee complete separation from dye and does not replace pre-colour testing.
If you need frequent grey coverage or are especially concerned about scalp comfort, tell us about past dye reactions, current products and colouring frequency. A different product or protective layer does not automatically make colouring suitable if you have a dye allergy or current scalp discomfort.
After colouring, we combine cleansing, moisture and hair care to support easier combing, softness and natural shine. At later visits, we consider new growth, greys, previously coloured lengths and ends separately to avoid unnecessary overlap. Results depend on your starting hair condition and everyday routine.
Tell us about your pregnancy and any past dye reactions when booking, then review product instructions and pre-colour testing arrangements. Product quality or a protective scalp layer alone cannot guarantee suitability during pregnancy or for sensitive scalps.

Five Elements colour guidance is a cultural and personal preference reference. It does not imply changes to fortune, health or colouring safety. The usual pre-colour scalp checks and product instructions still apply.
If softness, shine and daily manageability are especially important to you, explore our Hair Reconstruction Treatment. Your therapist will explain whether it suits your post-colour hair condition and needs.
Explore Hair Reconstruction Treatment →Using advanced equipment at 50 to 200 times magnification, we examine the visible condition of your hair, scalp surface and follicular openings, then discuss suitable products or treatments with you.If your needs fall outside our care, we will explain honestly rather than recommend an unsuitable treatment.
Start with the essentials, then explore what they mean for your circumstances.
We begin by assessing the scalp before colouring, add barrier protection and manage dye contact as needed, then cleanse the scalp and provide moisturising hair care afterwards.
Consider the scalp condition on the day, previous reactions, product formula, contact time and hair condition after colouring when planning the colour and care steps.
